Meet our Team
Kelly Shen
Founder and Director
Kelly is a sophomore at Occidental College, Los Angeles. An aspiring doctor, she has attended Stanford’s CSSSI program where she was a TA, interned at UCSF with the Brainard Lab, and shadows at Children’s Hospital of LA. At Occidental, she tutors chemistry, does neuroscience research, and heads two clubs. In her free time she is either singing opera, writing poetry, or birdwatching early in the morning.
Brandon Hsing
China Chapter Co-Lead
Brandon is a sophomore at Columbia University. Having lost his father to a cardiac arrest, he is passionate about making positive impacts through Project CPR. His goal with the organization is to provide knowledge and resources, “allowing others to be agents of change, equipped with the ability to be the difference in saving a life.” Brandon also loves to play football.
Wanyu Zhang
China Chapter Co-Lead
Wanyu is a senior at High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China. Aiming to combine clinical research with emerging technologies, she investigates the pathogenesis of diseases like asthma, cholera, cancers, and heart diseases using methods including but not limited to machine learning, molecular docking, and pathway enrichment. Wanyu is also a musician; as a ten-year piano player and a three-year guitar player; she leads a band.
Kavitha Ravi
Instructor
Kavitha is a freshman at at UC Davis. An aspiring cardiovascular surgeon, she shadowed the Veterans Affairs hospital’s cardiology consult service. Kavitha also volunteers at the VA hospital. In her free time, she swims and plays classical guitar as well as volleyball. Kavitha co-led her Castilleja’s Leaders in Medicine club and South Asian affinity group in high school.
Elliott Craig
Instructor
Elliott is a senior at Ransom Everglades School in Miami, Florida. Elliott plans to attend medical school and start his own medical practice. He has interned with a financial advisory firm and volunteers with a local charitable organization that focuses on environmental issues affecting Biscayne Bay. In his leisure time, Elliott practices martial arts, reads historical literature, and enjoys military history. He also serves as the vice president of Dinero Y Vida, an organization that teaches financial literacy to Spanish-speaking immigrants.
Alex Hamilton
Instructor
Alex is a sophomore at University of San Diego She is on the dance team. At Sacred Heart Prep, she choreographed and performed in the school musical, The Sound of Music. Outside of school, Alex plays volleyball in SF. She also enjoys going to the beach and reading.
Coco Kling
Instructor
Coco is a senior at Sacred Heart Prep, Atherton. She aspires to leave the world better than she found it and believes that education is the best way to do so. She is in the process of becoming a certified assistant instructor with Bay Area Impact, a local self-defense organization, and is currently teaching to high schoolers at Sacred Heart via her club. She believes that protecting others is just as important as protecting oneself, making her very passionate about Project CPR. In her free time, she enjoys dancing and cooking for her family.
