Dr. Patricia Corby 
 

Dr. Patricia Corby 

Dr. Corby is an Associate Professor of Oral Medicine and the Associate Dean of Translational Research at Penn Dental Medicine. She is also the Director of the Penn Dental Medicine Center for Clinical and Translational Research. She has served as Principal Investigator, Co-Investigator, or Consultant on a number of industry, foundation, and NIH-funded projects. She is an experienced clinical trialist with over 20 years of experience designing and running high-impact clinical research projects.

 
Alissa Totman
 

Alissa Totman

Alissa is a brain injury fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She completed her undergraduate studies in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT before going on to obtain her Medical Degree from the Stanford School of Medicine and her Masters of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her career goal is to improve care for individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI), by advancing clinical practice and training the next generation of leaders in brain injury.

 
Joanne Chouinard-Luth
 

Joanne Chouinard-Luth

Dr. Chouinard-Luth is a dentist, public health professional, and Research Nutritionist specializing in mitochondrial medicine. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, University of Illinois School of Public Health, and Columbia University's College of Physician and Surgeon’s Institute of Human Nutrition. She is also a recent graduate with chef certification from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City. Her non-profit, Pando Health Foundation and John E. Luth and Joanne Chouinard-Luth Charitable Trust aim to address critical needs in education of the population on issues of mitigation and prevention of chronic disease through exercise, diet, and improving local food environments.

 
Sharmila Ravi
 

Sharmila Ravi

Shami is a genetic counselor with the Cardiovascular Connective Tissue Disorders group at Stanford Children's Hospital's Heart Center. Her career in genetics started with research at the Human Genome Project at Lawrence Berkeley Labs and eventually led to a Master's in Genetic Counseling from UC Berkeley. She then worked at UCSF in the Cancer Risk Center and later the Prenatal Diagnostic Center.

She served as a member of the Sacred Heart Schools Atherton Board of Trustees for 10 years, starting with her personal interest in diversity and inclusion work, chairing the governance committee, and finally serving as Board Chair for three years. She currently serves on the Children's Health Council Board of Directors and is chair of the governance committee.

Her favorite spaces are anywhere with her three kids or in a quiet spot with a good cup of tea and an equally good book.
